Spy through the viewfinder. Hold it at arms length and move it around until you find a composition you like.

What does composition mean? Where things are placed (in a picture, photo or on a page)

Make a line drawing on A4 paper using as much detail as possible. Don't forget to put your name and class on the back !

Top tip: Look at all the basic shapes first (like the window, bed or table). Draw round the shapes with your finger first then start to draw them in.

How to make a view finder

1. Get a piece of thin card about A5 size (1/2 of A4)
2. Fold it in half
3. Cut a small rectangle out of the center of the folded side
4. Open it up, you should have roughly have a square out of the middle.
